The Leeky Canoe Pub & Eatery in Meaford

I ended up visiting in the midst of a small rush at an odd time of day. The server informed me in advance that food orders would take longer than usual and I was fine with that. I was not fine with the food, however. Dry, overcooked burger that was clearly just a store bought frozen burger. Nothing fantastic about the Villagio bun or the frozen French fries either. I found the price ($16) to be high for the quality of food that I received. I would not recommend or visit again.Edit in response to the owner: Thanks for your reply but I'm afraid you are mistaken. I did not leave a review on the Facebook page, perhaps you have me confused with a different disappointed customer. I looked on the Facebook page and saw that an individual bearing the same first name as myself had an unpleasant visit around the same date I did. However, this is a different review from a different person.

Good food, good atmosphere, and reasonably priced.

This place was recommended by our Airbnb host, and no regrets! Had the buffalo wild wings and chicken bbq flatbread and they were delicious. Also added to my rootbeer collection

Food was delicious.But honestly can't not handle big groups. Took 45 minutes and we still had to beg for our food, and we had 2 starving kids with us. Normally restaurants want to accommodate the bigger groups because they are usually nice tippers, and well they want to get us in and out so they can handle other guests, this was not the case. They definitely made us feel unwanted! We were a respectful group of ball players just looking for a good meal between games and got treated very poorly. I will say though that the food was absolutely delicious when we finally got it.

The leeky has always had great fresh options, friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Have been coming here since I was a kid and will continue to return. Were always welcomed by warm, friendly smiles and leave VERY satisfied. Great spot to catch up with your friends over a drink or two. Would recommend.

We had supper and it was great, fish and chips, leak soup, salad and coffee. The atmosphere is old style in the restaurant and was great with a great menu. Would like to go back one day but is a long drive from Cambridge Ont. 👍

Our family loves The Leeky Canoe. Our daughter reminds us each time that The Leeky grilled cheese is much better than what we make at home. Kids are great like that!

Great experience. The food was tasty and we certainly received true value for our money. The service was excellent as the waitress provided us options that suited are desires and costs. I would recommend the restaurant to other potential patrons.

This little pub has amazing pub food & reasonable price. Unbelieveable mushroom cap & 1/2 price wings later on in the evening. The bar staff over 15 years I've been going here is amazing. Hope to be back soon.

I thought the food was fair, I had grilled cheese..why I have no idea..I know nothing exciting but a restaurant should be able to make it tantalizing, add a colorful salad or something.. kind da pricy. My two friends had the chili..seemed.like the better deal..would I go back..probably to give it another try..

Great place with friendly staff and an amazing wing special. The wings are my all time favorite! The place can get full quickly and sometimes it takes a while to get your food.

A good restaurant that came highly recommended by the locals. The menu is largely burgers and texmex. The service and the food were great.

It's the local watering hole, so even if it was a dump, it's a place to grab a beer or five. It's far from a dump, however. It's clean and attractive, the bar staff are all super friendly, and the food is way above par from the usual pub fare - quality ingredients, cooked well. There's a reason why all the locals recommend it.

Just ate here. Both my wife and I found our meals to be tasteless and soggy and the amount of pepper used turned our stomachs. Left feeling sick to our stomachs.Did voice our concerns to our waitress, but also felt it appropriate to post them here as I belive people have a right to see the truth of others honest experiences with a business. A bit disappointed that the owners of this business thought it appropriate to try to imply that I should only be able to express my opinions in a way in which other potential customers cannot see it.

I have been coming to the leaky canoe since I was a kid for their mushroom caps! And I still will to this day!! How ever the past few times we have been in during lunch it feels like we have been more of a nuisance to the staff rather than appreciated customers... if it weren't for the fact that I dont think there are take out containers for mushrooms caps I would likely rather get take out.

Super friendly service! Had the most delicious homemade meatloaf special with mashed potatoes! Highly recommend eating here! I will certainly be returning! Thank you again!
